The Silence

Avi moved to his new company bungalow, with his newly married wife Maya. This bungalow is standing alone & very quiet, surrounded by huge fencing. The bungalow is not visible from the road because of trees inside fence. At the backyard it has a big open space.

It had been passed two days at this new bungalow. Within these two days they were too busy arranging and make all the setups. The company will provide one servant and one maid but it will take at-list one week. So the time being they have to make all the arrangements by their own.

Maya has like this place very much and she arranges everything as per her own choice, Avi is only assisting her and enjoying about her excitement. Though Avi is a emotional person, he is not much expressive and talkative.

The next day morning Avi has to get ready for his office. And after having his breakfast, he went to his office(He's office hour is 9:30 to 5:00 PM). And Maya has started to arrange the rooms. After a long tiring day Maya has called Avi in the afternoon and asks, "when you're coming back". Avi replied " I will come back by 5:30, ok my phone is getting to discharge soon. So take care bye".

       But after passing almost two hours Avi still not come to the home. She tried to contact Avi but his phone is switched off. This area is very quiet and Maya loves this place, but this is the first time Maya has able to understand how silence can be so horrible too. Suddenly she has started sense some awkward smell, and it is coming from their storeroom. This storeroom was locked and they have still not opened it. She has tried to ignore it, but the intensity is increasing rapidly. Again she tried calling Avi , but his phone is not reachable. She has made her mind and tries to understand check what is wrong, but all of the sudden electric power supply was cut. And she felt like, somebody is standing right behind her, she tries to scream but her throat got dry and her voice got numb. Somehow she has managed to go to the kitchen and light a candle, and shocked, what is this? Somebody is standing in the room and looking at her. Simultaneously she hears a child is crying and this was coming from the storeroom, it seems the child is trying to escape and somebody wants to kill him. She was scared and try to shout and run, but somebody has held her hand, she can't. Someone is calling her from very far, after some time the voice is getting clear, yes this is Avi. Yes, Avi is calling her. And her dream got broken. She realizes it was a dream.

     Avi is still calling her. She gets up and opens the door, and asks "are you waiting for long?" Avi says yes, I have been calling you for the last 15 minutes. What happened? Why you seem to be so scared? Maya asks why the storeroom was locked? Avi says I asked some of my office colleagues, they said that it has been locked for the last 15 years and nobody has used it.

 So, why the storeroom is locked for so many years?
